Sports Therapy
Injuries
All types of sporting injuries are treated on site in our therapy room by highly qualified therapists.
Injuries treated include ankle ligaments / knee complaints / shin splints / pulled muscles or spasms/ hip complaints / lower back weakness / growing pains / tennis elbow / frozen shoulder / strapping and taping or joints / pre or post exercise massage or first aid.
Rehabilitation
Exercise is a vital part of the rehabilitation process for most sporting injuries. The idea that an athlete is completely cured once the treatments on the therapist's couch are over is simply outdated.
Instead, when athletes visit our physios, in conjunction with receiving a course of treatment, they are set specific strengthening and flexibility exercises.
Exercises are included in rehabilitation programmes to ensure the injury site returns to a fully functional state and/or to ensure that the original cause of the injury is eliminated.
